During normal operation the clean & emergency water tank B27 permanently supplies clean sealing and flushing water to
- the shaft seals of the Disintegrators V15 & V19, and
- the demister F17 in the clean gas stack.
During a process water interruption also for a limited time emergency water is supplied to
- the quench cooler W10, and
- all water seals (rotary valves B12 & B13 and safety valve B11).
Elevated Tank Position
The tank is installed at a height so that all required consumers are gravity fed with clean water.
